Minnesota Timberwolves general manager Matt Lloyd (a Chicago native who worked for the Bulls for 13 years) is considered a potential candidate for the GM position, and NBC Sports’ Kurt Helin<\/a> highlights a few other names worth watching as Chicago begins its search.<\/p>\n Among the possible GM targets are Hawks assistant general manager Kyle Korver, Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy Jr., former Hawks GM Landry Fields, and Austin Brown of CAA.<\/p>\n Helin notes that while Dunleavy is “highly unlikely” to leave Golden State, his inclusion may simply reflect Chicago’s wish list.<\/p>\n Korver, a former sharpshooter who retired from playing in 2020, joined Atlanta in the summer of 2022 as director of player affairs and development and was promoted to assistant GM in January 2023.<\/p>\n Fields, 37, played five NBA seasons before moving into a front office career. He served as Atlanta’s GM for three years before being let go last April. Earlier this year, he was hired as the new president of league operations for Overtime Elite.<\/p>\n Brown, co-head of CAA’s basketball division, is one of the NBA’s most influential agents.
