(Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

Sixers fans know Kyle Korver well. His successful playing career started in Philadelphia.

In 2003, Korver landed with the Sixers coming out of Creighton. He was a 51st overall pick by the New Jersey Nets, but was traded to Philadelphia.

After spending five seasons in Philadelphia, Korver landed with the Utah Jazz, where he spent four years of his career. He had a two-year run with the Chicago Bulls, before getting a five-season stint with the Atlanta Hawks.

Korver’s career finished with two years on the Cleveland Cavaliers, and one season on the Milwaukee Bucks.

It wouldn’t be long after the 2019-2020 season when Korver called it a career. He went into a player development role with the Brooklyn Nets in 2021. In the following year, he joined the Hawks’ front office. Since 2023, Korver has served as the Hawks’ assistant general manager.

A promotion could be in line for Korver, whether it’s in Chicago, Atlanta, or another future vacancy. With the Hawks’ GM potentially getting a look from the Bulls, that could create an opening in Atlanta. But if the Bulls want to take a look at Korver, it should be a move the former sharpshooter considers.

Justin Grasso Justin Grasso is an NBA reporter, covering trending league news, transactions, injuries, and player developments.
