{"id":704176,"date":"2026-04-07T23:27:52","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T23:27:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/704176\/"},"modified":"2026-04-07T23:27:52","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T23:27:52","slug":"grizzlies-re-sign-adama-bal-to-hardship-deal-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/704176\/","title":{"rendered":"Grizzlies Re-Sign Adama Bal To Hardship Deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Grizzlies have re-signed forward <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/b\/balad01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-03-28_bbr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Adama Bal<\/a> following the expiration of his first 10-day contract on Monday night, the team announced in a press release (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GrizzliesPR\/status\/2041584957298982946\" rel=\"nofollow\">Twitter link<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-471073\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Adama-Bal-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\"  \/>While Bal\u2019s new deal is referred to by Memphis as a second 10-day contract, there are only technically six days left in the season, so it\u2019ll pay him just $43,892, a prorated portion of <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2026\/01\/salaries-for-10-day-contracts-in-2025-26.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the usual $73,153 figure<\/a> for a rookie. Standard 10-day signings are no longer permitted, but the Grizzlies can sign Bal to a \u201c10-day\u201d contract using a <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2023\/12\/hoops-rumors-glossary-hardship-exception.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">hardship exception<\/a>, since they\u2019re dealing with so many injuries.<\/p>\n<p>A 6\u20197\u2033 French forward who spent most of the season with the Westchester Knicks, Bal got into six games during his first 10 days with Memphis.
