UCLA guard Skyy Clark entered the transfer portal while awaiting official word from the NCAA on a waiver request for a fifth year of eligibility. <\/p>\n

Clark averaged 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 26 games this past season for the Bruins, while shooting 42.7% from 3-point range. He missed a stretch of 10 consecutive Big Ten Conference games with a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n

A five-star recruit who committed to DePaul as an eighth-grader, Clark later committed to Kentucky and then-coach John Calipari before his senior season in high school. <\/p>\n

He eventually landed at Illinois. But he wasn\u2019t there for long. <\/p>\n

Just 13 games (12 starts) into his freshman season, Clark left for personal reasons and cited that partial year in his plea to the NCAA to play in 2026-27. <\/p>\n

In January of 2023, Clark said he needed to \u201cstep away from basketball for the time being \u2013 putting myself and my family first.\u201d<\/p>\n

The well-traveled Clark transferred to Louisville for the 2023-24 season and spent the past two seasons with the Bruins. He dedicated the past season to his father, who passed away in May of last year.<\/p>\n

Clark, who turns 23 in June, has played 102 career games with 97 starts and averaged 10.4 points per game.<\/p>\n
