Things got heated between former Houston Rockets<\/a> teammates Amen Thompson<\/a> and Jalen Green<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n Green, who now plays for the Phoenix Suns<\/a>, was called for an offensive foul for grabbing Thompson\u2019s jersey early in the first quarter. It set the tone for the rest of the night, as both teams were very physical against each other.<\/p>\n Jalen Green gets the block on Amen Thompson and the former teammates get tangled up immediately after.<\/p>\n It\u2019s feeling like the postseason already \ud83d\udc40 <\/p>\n Emotions were high since it wasn\u2019t just Green\u2019s first game against his former team. It was also Kevin Durant<\/a>\u2018s first game in Phoenix since he was traded to Houston last season.<\/p>\n Green and Thompson Got Into Another Scuffle in the Third Quarter<\/p>\n Just when it looked like things were going to settle down, Green and Thompson got into it again midway through the third quarter.<\/p>\n Thompson got the steal after Devin Booker<\/a> lost the ball, leading to a fastbreak attempt. He was fouled by Green, who got into his face, which prompted the Rockets star to talk some trash.<\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t talk,\u201d Thompson said<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m on you, boy. I\u2019m on you.\u201d<\/p>\n Amen Thompson to Jalen Green <\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t talk. I\u2019m on you boy. I\u2019m on you\u201d <\/p>\n Thompson was indeed on Green the entire night. He locked down his former teammate, who finished with just 15 points on 5-for-14 shooting. Green did have four blocks, but it wasn\u2019t enough to prevent the Rockets\u2019 119-105<\/a> win.<\/p>\n The Suns built an early 21-point lead, but they easily squandered it in the second half. The game was tight in the third quarter before a dominant final period for the Rockets.<\/p>\n Thompson had 22 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and three steals, while Durant added 24 points, four rebounds and three assists. The Rockets extended their winning streak to seven, with three games left in the regular season.<\/p>\n Green Comments on Scuffle With Thompson<\/p>\n Speaking to reporters after the game, Green was asked about his feelings on facing his former team and getting into it with Thompson. He has nothing but love for his ex-teammate, but when they are on the court, things are different.<\/p>\n \u201cWe get out there first play, me and Amen getting into it,\u201d Green said, via The Arizona Republic\u2019s Duane Rankin<\/a>. \u201cEverybody talking to (Dillon Brooks<\/a>), (Jae\u2019Sean) Tate<\/a> and Dorian (Finney-Smith)<\/a>, everybody\u2019s talking. We all brothers at the end of the day, but when you step in the line, it\u2019s war. So it\u2019s good.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe was there for two quarters. Not good enough.\u201d<\/p>\n Jalen Green as Suns blew 21-point lead in losing Rockets, 119-105.<\/p>\n \u201cA team that feeds off of second-chance points, we\u2019ve got to be able to box out.\u201d<\/p>\n 24 offensive rebounds, 37 second-chance points.<\/p>\n On playing former team: \u201cIt <\/p>\n Green and Brooks arrived in Phoenix this offseason in exchange for Durant. They helped the Rockets reach the playoffs last year, but they came up short in the first round against the Golden State Warriors<\/a>.<\/p>\n Green\u2019s Rockets Career<\/p>\n The Rockets selected Green with the number two pick in the 2021 NBA<\/a> Draft. He had a pretty good four years in Houston, putting up<\/a> 20.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He starred in his role as a starter and off the bench, but the Rockets felt that they needed a proven scorer to reach the next level.<\/p>\n That\u2019s why they went and got Durant from the Suns. The Rockets are likely to finish fourth in the West, while Phoenix will be in the NBA Play-In Tournament.
