The Denver Nuggets<\/a> have heard this one before: Nikola Jokic<\/a> is on pace to make NBA history.<\/p>\n Heading into a Wednesday night game against the Memphis Grizzlies<\/a>, Jokic and the Nuggets have just a few games left on the schedule. (Photo by Matthew Stockman\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n via ESPN Insights<\/a>: Nikola Jokic is on the verge of something the NBA has never seen \ud83d\udc40<\/p>\n With 3 games left, he leads the league in BOTH rebounds and assists per game \ud83e\udd2f<\/p>\n No player in NBA history has ever led both categories\u2026 even across different seasons.<\/p>\n At this stage of the season, Jokic has 63 games in the bag.<\/p>\n Seeing the court for 35.2 minutes per game, the veteran center is shooting 56.8% from the field and 38.0% from three to produce 28.0 points per game.<\/p>\n As stated above, the Nuggets\u2019 big man is leading the NBA with 12.9 rebounds per game. He is also dishing out 10.9 assists per game, which is higher than everybody else.<\/p>\n For the second season in a row, Jokic is going to average a triple-double.<\/p>\n At this point in the season, Jokic is still in the league\u2019s MVP conversation. However, he has fallen out of favor.<\/p>\n Earlier this season, Jokic suffered a knee injury, which took him off the court for roughly one month of action. (Photo by Harry How\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n The Nuggets clearly support Jokic\u2019s individual awards run, but they are focused on getting back to the championship stage and competing for a title.<\/p>\n Heading into Wednesday\u2019s action against the Grizzlies<\/a>, the Nuggets are third in the Western Conference.
