The Indiana Pacers announced the results of an initiative where they pledged to donate three cases of eggs for each 3-pointer scored during home games.<\/p>\n
INDIANAPOLIS \u2014 Wednesday was an “egg-cellent” day for\u00a0the Indiana Pacers<\/a> to host a charity event.<\/p>\n Pacers Sports & Entertainment announced the results of Drive & Dish, an ongoing initiative where they pledged to donate three cases of eggs for each 3-pointer scored during home games.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cInitiatives like this show how the game can bring people together and create real impact for families across Indiana,\u201d said Corey Wilson, Pacers Sports & Entertainment’s senior vice president of community engagement. \u201cThanks to our partners at Kroger<\/a>, MPS Egg Farms<\/a> and HATCH<\/a>, we\u2019re proud to help donate more than 100,000 eggs to Hoosiers who need them most.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n On April 8, the team held an event to celebrate the program’s success, displaying egg cartons on the Pacers’ home court. The boxes filled more than half the floor, representing thousands of meals for Hoosier families. The cartons were then donated to Gleaners Food Bank for reuse.<\/p>\n More than 100,000 eggs were donated this season, sent to communities across Indiana, the team said.<\/p>\n Earlier this season, we pledged three cases of eggs to hungry Hoosiers for every @Pacers<\/a> three-pointer made during home games.
