Collin Chandler is on the move.<\/p>\n
After two seasons playing for Mark Pope at Kentucky, Chandler has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Additionally, Chandler entered the portal with a \u201cdo not contact\u201d designation, meaning he could have his next destination in mind already.<\/p>\n

\u2014 Jeff Borzello (@jeffborzello) April 8, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n Chandler, a Utah native and graduate of Farmington High, originally signed with BYU in November of 2021 before serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.<\/p>\n However, once Pope was hired as Kentucky\u2019s new head coach in 2024, Chandler was immediately released from his letter of intent with the Cougars and followed Pope to Lexington.<\/p>\n Chandler appeared in 66 games for the Wildcats over the past two seasons, averaging 9.7 points per game as a sophomore this year and shooting 41% from 3-point range.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Upon his signing with BYU back in 2021, Chandler was rated as a 4-star recruit, the No. 6 combo guard prospect in his class and No. 33 recruit nationally by 247 Sports<\/a>. He also earned Deseret News Mr. Basketball honors<\/a> in 2022.<\/p>\n Given Chandler\u2019s local ties, BYU\u2019s current need for shooting help and Rob Wright III\u2019s departure from the program, perhaps the Cougars could make a push for Chandler\u2019s services and allow him to make his long-awaited arrival in Provo.<\/p>\n
