It is widely believed that Bob Myers will unlikely step down as president of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment to lead the Mavericks’ front office.<\/p>\n

Former Golden State Warriors top executive Bob Myers could be omitted now in the Dallas Mavericks’ long list of potential candidates to lead their front office.<\/p>\n

According to Christian Clark of The Athletic<\/a>, there are ongoing doubts that Myers will leave his role as the president of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, which owns the Philadelphia 76ers.<\/p>\n

“Myers would bring instant credibility to the Mavericks. Still, there is skepticism that he\u2019d leave his native California to come to Texas and also resign from his post with Harris Blitzer Sports,” league sources told Clark.<\/p>\n

As the Mavericks are on the hunt for their next general manager, Myers’ name suddenly floated as one of the key figures to watch for the job.<\/a><\/p>\n

Myers notably served as the architect of the Dubs dynasty that won four NBA championships from 2015 to 2022. He was primarily responsible for bringing Kevin Durant to the Bay Area in 2016 free agency, which solidified the Warriors as one of the greatest teams in basketball history.<\/p>\n

The likes of OKC Thunder general manager Sam Presti, Boston Celtics president Brad Stevens and Tim Connelly of the Minnesota Timberwolves are some other prominent executives who were also linked to the Mavs’ vacant GM spot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Following the dismissal of Nico Harrison last November, the Mavericks are determined on who will build their team in the Cooper Flagg era.<\/p>\n
