He shot 30% from 3-point range and 90.7% from the free-throw line.

A veteran presence in head coach Mike White’s system, Cain has started 74 consecutive games dating back to his freshman season. He currently holds Georgia’s career record for free-throw percentage at 84.6%.

Cain reached a major milestone late in the season, scoring his 1,000th career point in the regular-season finale at Mississippi State on March 7. He became the 49th player in program history to reach the mark and the first since Yante Maten in 2017.

A former Georgia Tech signee, the four-star guard out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, was one of four top-100 signees in White’s 2023 recruiting class, joining the Bulldogs in May of that year.

While several members of that class, including Silas Demary Jr. and Dylan James, have since left the program through the transfer portal, Cain has remained with the program, emerging as a consistent contributor and fan favorite throughout his career.

Cain played a key role in helping Georgia break into the AP Top 25 in each of the past two seasons, with the Bulldogs climbing as high as No. 18 during the 2025-26 campaign. His season, however, was not without early struggles. Cain opened SEC play in a shooting slump, starting 0 for 15 from 3-point range, before finding his rhythm as the year progressed. He responded with 18 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, in a statement win over No. 17 Arkansas, and in the home finale with 16 points, two blocks and three rebounds in Georgia’s other ranked win against No. 16 Alabama.

Although Georgia exited the NCAA Tournament in blowout first-round losses in each of the past two seasons, Cain’s veteran presence will be critical as White looks to navigate a roster expected to rely heavily on upcoming transfers.

Cain is the fourth member of last season’s record-setting team set to return for the 2026-27 season, joining Marcus “Smurf” Millender, Kareem Stagg and Kanon Catchings.

Georgia men’s basketball will bring back one of its most reliable pieces, as junior guard Blue Cain announced…

[3723
7998,15876,25766,25765,4244,7,47294,217,5486,13302,5190,5189,88495,13294,736,74068,7734,231,772,5193,5188,1544,4158,1117,5185,17537,5186
0":"post-707391","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-ncaa-basketball","8":"tag-alabama-crimson-tide","9":"tag-alabama-crimson-tide-football","10":"tag-alabama-crimson-tide-football-seasons","11":"tag-alabama-crimson-tide-seasons","12":"tag-american-football","13":"tag-basketball","14":"tag-blue-cain","15":"tag-college-basketball","16":"tag-college-football","17":"tag-college-football-conference-seasons","18":"tag-former-southern-conference-teams","19":"tag-former-southern-intercollegiate-athletic-association-teams","20":"tag-georgia-u-s-state","21":"tag-gridiron-football","22":"tag-men","23":"tag-mike-white-basketball","24":"tag-mississippi-state-bulldogs-football","25":"tag-ncaa","26":"tag-ncaa-basketball","27":"tag-ncaa-division-i-fbs-football","28":"tag-ncaa-division-i-fbs-football-teams","29":"tag-ncaab","30":"tag-silas-demary-jr","31":"tag-southeastern-conference","32":"tag-southeastern-conference-football","33":"tag-southeastern-conference-football-seasons","34":"tag-southeastern-conference-teams
["GET
