The Golden State Warriors are locked in to the final play-in tournament spot<\/a> with the No. 10 seed, and they are looking to get their roster as healthy as can be. Veteran big man Al Horford<\/a> is expected to make<\/a> his injury return for the Warriors\u2019 penultimate game of the regular season against the Sacramento Kings on Friday, as per Anthony Slater of ESPN.<\/p>\n

In addition to Al Horford, the Warriors are expected to get Stephen Curry and Kristaps Porzingis off the injury report for the Kings game as well. Horford has been sidelined<\/a> for the past 14 games while dealing with a calf injury. The Warriors signed Horford via free agency in the offseason, but he\u2019s been hampered this year due to injury issues.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s appeared in 43 games this season, including 12 starts, at a little over 21 minutes per game. He\u2019s been averaging 8.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 blocked shots with splits of 42.4 percent shooting from the field, 36 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 84.6 percent shooting from the free-throw line.<\/p>\n

The No. 3 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, Horford is in his 19th season in the NBA and is one of the oldest players in the league overall. A five-time All-Star, Horford finally won the elusive NBA title as part of the Boston Celtics in 2023-24.<\/p>\n

He began his career with the Atlanta Hawks where he played for nine seasons. He\u2019s also had stints with the Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n

After the Kings game, the Warriors final game of the regular season will be on the road on Sunday against the LA Clippers. It might end up being a meaningful game as the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds are not yet locked in, and thus the Warriors\u2019 opponent in the opening round of the play-in. It will either be the Clippers or the Portland Trail Blazers.<\/p>\n
