Doc Rivers Shams Charania<\/p>\n
Shams Charania isn\u2019t filling the boots left behind by Adrian Wojnarowski, according to Doc Rivers.<\/p>\n
The Bucks\u2019 coach wasn\u2019t too keen on ESPN\u2019s NBA insider\u2019s latest reporting about his struggling Milwaukee squad, which is embroiled in controversy over the status of star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a> and how his coach has handled things.<\/p>\n Charania reported that Rivers gave a lengthy speech to the team after a March 1 blowout loss to the Bulls, where the coach was quoted as saying he knows \u201ceverything that goes on in this building.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEither you\u2019re with us or against us,\u201d ESPN reported Rivers saying. \u201cIf you\u2019re not playing hard, we\u2019re not playing you anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n Rivers called Charania\u2019s \u201cso inaccurate that I don\u2019t even have enough time to go into it\u201d in a recent television appearance on \u201cRun it Back.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe first thing I thought of was, \u2018Where\u2019s Woj?\u2019 I miss Woj so much,\u201d Rivers continued while laughing. \u201cYeah, we had a tough locker room day. We lost to the Chicago Bulls with a 20-point lead. I showed clips the next day of guys who were screwing up. That\u2019s what happens in a locker room.\u201d<\/p>\n Rivers did say that he and Antetokounmpo have a great relationship and there\u2019s no strife between them.<\/p>\n Doc Rivers is not happy happy with Shams Charania. NBAE via Getty Images<\/p>\n The same cannot be said for Antetokounmpo and the front office, who are at odds over why he is not playing in the team\u2019s final games when the team is not in contention to make the playoffs<\/a>.<\/p>\n Charania and Rivers have feuded throughout the year, with Rivers joking that Charania was going to be traded by Antetokounmpo from the NBA Celebrity All-Star team.<\/p>\n Shams Charania took over at ESPN for Adrian Wojnarowski. Getty Images<\/p>\n Antetokounmpo served as the team\u2019s coach, and Rivers also pointed out that his comments upset Charania to the extent that he complained to multiple individuals.<\/p>\n Rivers also said he\u2019s heard that Charania has him in his crosshairs.<\/p>\n \u201cShams took that so personal that he actually called the Bucks and yelled at them to take that down,\u201d Rivers said<\/a>. \u201cThen the NBA called the Bucks, it was a mess, \u2018Shams wants us to tell you this, but we really don\u2019t care.\u2019 And then NBA posted it. I\u2019ve heard from 10 different people that said, \u2018Oh, Shams is going to do a revenge article on you guys and you.
