Sure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-1\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5l\">Detroit ran away from the Hornets last night, holding them to just 10 points in the 4th\u00a0quarter, giving a preview of what is going to happen in the first round if Charlotte even gets there, as they will have to win two games to secure a spot.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-2\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5o\">The Hornets have been red-hot since the All-Star break, which led to a lot of \u201dthey are a nightmare matchup for Detroit!\u201d\u00a0talk being bandied\u00a0about by talking heads who are <a href=\"https:\/\/pistonpowered.com\/bill-simmons-and-zach-lowe-spit-detroit-pistons-face\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">looking for any reason not to believe in the Pistons <\/a>even though they\u2019ve dominated the Eastern Conference and been\u00a0in\u00a0first place since November.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5r\">I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0think\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0ever seen a number one seed treated like an underdog, but I\u00a0digress.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5u\">Charlotte fits the type of team many think Detroit will be susceptible to in the playoffs, a team that can score a ton of points by shooting a making a lot of 3-point shots. Detroit\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0take or make many themselves, so a team that launches copious numbers of threes would be a matchup nightmare, right?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-5\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5x\">Wrong.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What happened to \u201cdefense wins championships?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-7\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"63\">Every year I hear about how \u201cdefense wins championships\u201d but\u00a0apparently that\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0apply to the Pistons, who have had the 2nd\u00a0best defense in the league all season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-8\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"66\">The narrative all year has been about how the Pistons\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0have enough 3-point shooting to beat teams that do, which seems counterintuitive to the whole \u201cdefense\u201d cliche.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-9\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-secondary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"69\">The Hornets showed exactly why they are actually the perfect\u00a0opponent\u00a0for Detroit.
