The fourth quarter fell apart. The offense looked clunky. The defense broke down repeatedly. With one game left in the regular season and a play-in spot already secured, the performance was far from encouraging.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The biggest concern walking out of Golden 1 Center was <a class=\"underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current\/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nba\/player\/stephen-curry\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Stephen Curry<\/a> limping off the court in the first three minutes after rolling his right ankle on a steal by <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nba\/sacramento-kings\/\" title=\"Kings\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"222358\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kings<\/a> guard <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nba\/player\/devin-carter\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Devin Carter<\/a>. He returned and finished the game, but never looked right, ending with just <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nba\/player\/stephen-curry\/#career-stats\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">11 points on 3-of-8 shooting in 27 minutes<\/a>. After the game, <a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/sports\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/warriors-steve-kerr-curry\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Steve Kerr<\/a> moved quickly to address it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Curry will play Sunday in Los Angeles. The ankle is not a concern. He also acknowledged the Warriors would not be showing their hand too much ahead of Wednesday\u2019s elimination play-in game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">He was measured but direct when assessing what Friday revealed about his team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">\u201cWe\u2019re going into Wednesday\u2019s Play-In game without much momentum,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/anthonyVslater\/status\/2042828504153374896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Kerr said<\/a>. \u201cWithout a whole lot of continuity and health and all that. Just not blindly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">\u201cI\u2019ve got lots of hope,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/anthonyVslater\/status\/2042828504153374896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Kerr said<\/a>. \u201cI think we can win two games, because I know these guys and I believe in them, but I also know that we\u2019re not where we need to be. We showed that tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The injuries this season disrupted any chance at continuity. The group Kerr wants to go to war with in the play-in has barely played together. Sunday is as much about building familiarity as it is about winning.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Kerr said Steph Curry\u2019s ankle tweak isn\u2019t a concern. He plans to play Curry on Sunday in Los Angeles because Curry wants to generate a better rhythm. His right ankle was resting in a bucket of ice water.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">\u201cI\u2019ll be alright,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/anthonyVslater\/status\/2042838854340874464\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Curry said<\/a>. \u201cAs long as it\u2019s not my knee, I can deal with ankles; I\u2019ve been dealing with that forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The relief in those words was real.<a href=\"https:\/\/heavy.com\/nba\/player\/stephen-curry\/#career-stats\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Curry missed 27 consecutive games earlier this season dealing with swelling and soreness in his right knee, so any lower-body issue carries extra weight right now<\/a>. An ankle tweak is manageable. A knee setback would not be.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Curry put it simply when asked what the path forward looks like.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">\u201c48 great minutes,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/anthonyVslater\/status\/2042838854340874464\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external nofollow\">Curry said<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s all we gotta do, it\u2019s all we have in front of us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Steph Curry wants  to play \u201cmy normal minutes\u201d on Sunday vs Clippers. So the 32-34 range. <\/p>\n<p>Said the knee felt \u201cpretty good, better than last game\u201d and he isn\u2019t worried about the ankle tweak. \u201cI\u2019ve been dealing with ankles forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Full Curry soundbite <\/p>\n<p>Final Word for the Warriors<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The ankle news is as good as it could have been. Curry walking out of Sacramento with a tweaked ankle rather than a knee setback changes the outlook considerably heading into the final weekend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The bigger challenge is rhythm. Golden State looks like a team still searching for itself, and Wednesday does not offer much margin for error. Sunday in Los Angeles is the last chance to find something worth building on.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">Curry has been there before. So has Kerr.
