Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey<\/p>\n

As the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> were working on bouncing back against the Indiana Pacers, the star guard Tyrese Maxey left with an injury scare for a quick stretch.<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t take long before Maxey was back on the court. He ended up finishing the game with 39 minutes played. The star guard produced 32 points on 11-28 shooting from the field.<\/p>\n

Maxey\u2019s long-range shooting is what was most concerning, as he went just 1-10 from deep. Despite the scare and the struggles, the Sixers put the Pacers away 105-94.<\/p>\n

After the game, Maxey addressed his injury scare.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe finger is a little funny. So, like, I kind of look a little timid, but I don\u2019t have time to be timid right now. My teammates need me. \u2026 . I just got to go out there and do it,\u201d Maxey told reporters<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is what it is. We\u2019ll worry about that in the offseason. I got this splint or whatever. I\u2019ll be structurally ok, and I want to be there for my team. I did it all year, you know? I did it all year. Had high spirits and kept their spirits high, and it\u2019s just no way I\u2019m gonna let them down now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maxey\u2019s 2024-2025 season ended after 52 games due to a setback. The Sixers missed the playoffs.<\/p>\n

This year, Maxey went out with an injury on March 9 and was off the court for multiple weeks. He ended up returning earlier than expected after 10 games and hasn\u2019t missed any action since. Maxey has averaged 37.6 minutes during this current eight-game stretch.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just injured. I came back early. I\u2019m fine, though. I don\u2019t wanna make it a thing because I\u2019m playing regardless,\u201d Maxey stated.<\/p>\n

The Sixers Are Going To The Postseason

After Friday\u2019s game against the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>, the Sixers are going to the postseason.<\/p>\n

Whether they are Play-In-bound or heading straight to the playoffs is unclear. The seeding won\u2019t be finalized until the Sunday slate concludes.<\/p>\n

Maxey made it clear he doesn\u2019t intend to miss action on Sunday. The Sixers will still be shorthanded. Joel Embiid underwent surgery earlier this week, leaving Maxey, Paul George, and VJ Edgecombe to step up in a big way.<\/p>\n

The Sixers and the Milwaukee Bucks are slated for a 6 PM ET tip on Sunday April 12.<\/p>\n
