{"id":708519,"date":"2026-04-11T23:21:39","date_gmt":"2026-04-11T23:21:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/708519\/"},"modified":"2026-04-11T23:21:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T23:21:39","slug":"pj-haggerty-chooses-texas-am-and-isaiah-johnson-selects-texas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/708519\/","title":{"rendered":"PJ Haggerty chooses Texas A&#038;M and Isaiah Johnson selects Texas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n               <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DW94Pn4jn2V\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PJ Haggerty<\/a> is heading to Texas A&amp;M and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DW_3flUEVFb\/?img_index=1\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Isaiah Johnson<\/a> is joining Texas as the Lone Star state\u2019s two Southeastern Conference programs have landed former Big 12 stars in the transfer portal.<\/p>\n<p>Each player announced his decision in an Instagram post.<\/p>\n<p>Haggerty scored 23.4 points per game for Kansas State this season to rank fourth among all Division I players. Johnson is coming off a freshman season in which he averaged 16.9 points for Colorado.<\/p>\n<p>Haggerty will be playing for his fifth different school. The 6-foot-4 guard was at TCU in 2022-23, Tulsa in 2023-24 and Memphis in 2024-25.<\/p>\n<p>Haggerty has averaged at least 21.2 points each of his last three seasons. He was an Associated Press All-America second-team pick with Memphis last season and received honorable mention on this year\u2019s AP All-America team.
