The top freshman in the American Conference is coming to Boulder.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, former Tulane star Mecailin Marshall committed to the Colorado women\u2019s basketball team.<\/p>\n
A 5-foot-10 guard from Lubbock, Texas, Marshall was named the freshman of the year in the American Conference this season.<\/p>\n
Playing in all 31 games for the Green Wave, with six starts, Marshall was second on the team with 10.5 points per game, while adding 3.8 rebounds per game. She was second on the team with 40 3-pointers, although connected at just a .294 clip. She was Tulane\u2019s top free throw shooter, at .841 (58 of 69).<\/p>\n
Marshall hit the 20-point mark five times this season, including a season-high 34 points in a loss to East Carolina on Feb. 10.<\/p>\n
