Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets is a three-time NBA MVP.<\/p>\n

The Denver Nuggets<\/a> are getting ready to conclude their 2025-2026 NBA regular season on Sunday. The San Antonio Spurs<\/a> are hosting the Nuggets and several key players could suit up for the finale.<\/p>\n

Nikola Jokic is on the injury report for Sunday\u2019s action.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets listed the star center as questionable for the game. According to the Nuggets\u2019 report, Jokic is managing a right wrist issue. Considering he hasn\u2019t been on the injury report lately, an absence would simply be viewed as a rest night for the MVP candidate.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets aren\u2019t locked into the Western Conference\u2019s third seed just yet. And Jokic needs another 15-plus minutes of playing time to satisfy his 65-game minimum to become eligible for NBA awards.<\/p>\n

There is a legitimate reason to roll out Jokic for Sunday\u2019s action. According to the Denver Post\u2019s Nuggets insider Bennett Durando, Jokic is \u201cexpected\u201d to play in Sunday\u2019s action to check off those boxes.<\/p>\n

via Bennett Durando Denver Post<\/a>: Four of Denver\u2019s starters are out tomorrow. The lone exception is Nikola Jokic, who\u2019s listed as questionable. As I wrote last night, he\u2019s expected to play the 15+ minutes required to meet the 65-game awards threshold, per sources.<\/p>\n

This season, Jokic has appeared in 64 games for the Nuggets. He will finish the season with the fewest number of games played throughout the year in his career. The previous career low was 69 games in 2022-2023.<\/p>\n

Jokic\u2019s absences were a result of a knee injury that he suffered back in December. He went on to miss all but one game in January. Jokic returned to the court on January 30. His next absence didn\u2019t come until Friday night\u2019s action against the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a>. Jokic got the night off.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets and the Spurs are slated for an 8:30 PM ET tip on Sunday night. While Jokic remains the only starter as questionable, all signs point to him playing against San Antonio.<\/p>\n
