Well, some sure think so. <\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/joevardon\" rel=\"nofollow\">Joe Vardon of The Athletic<\/a>, there is at least some belief that Morant may have already played his final game for the Grizzlies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an aside, this could be Ja Morant\u2019s final game on Memphis\u2019 roster,\u201d Vardon wrote. \u201cHe has not played since Jan. 21 and could be traded this offseason.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Morant\u2019s 2025-26 season was limited to just 20 games, and his production dipped during that stretch, averaging 19.5 points and 8.1 assists while shooting 41 percent from the field and 23.5 percent from three.<\/p>\n<p>League-wide, the sense at <a href=\"https:\/\/hoopswire.com\/nba-trade-tracker-all-2025-26-deals-before-the-deadline\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the trade deadline<\/a> was that Morant\u2019s market wasn\u2019t particularly strong, with some teams wary of his contract and off-court history. Still, multiple clubs \u2014 including Miami, Sacramento and Milwaukee \u2014 were at least loosely linked as potential fits.<\/p>\n<p>There have also been signs of possible tension.<\/p>\n<p>Morant did not participate in a recent jersey giveaway during the team\u2019s Fan Appreciation Night, though reports suggest there may have been confusion about his involvement. Separately, the guard has been described by some as frustrated with his situation, while others have downplayed any disconnect.<\/p>\n<p>Even off the court, speculation has picked up, including attention around a Memphis-area home being listed for sale.<\/p>\n<p>This, of course, is just all part of the backdrop.<\/p>\n<p>Morant has publicly expressed loyalty to the franchise. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, face a pivotal offseason after a disappointing year.<\/p>\n<p>Whether that includes a reset \u2014 or a major move \u2014 remains to be seen.
