The Golden State Warriors<\/a> aren\u2019t in the NBA<\/a> playoffs \u2014 yet. However, they do have a chance to get there despite a season marred by numerous crushing injuries.<\/p>\n

After falling to the Los Angeles Clippers<\/a> on Sunday in the final contest of the year for both teams, the Dubs will have a couple days off to prepare for a rematch with the exact same team on the exact same floor in the No. 9 vs. No. 10 game of the league\u2019s play-in tournament on the Western Conference side of the bracket.<\/p>\n

The Dubs (37-45) will face the Clips (42-40) for the right to stay alive for a spot in the playoffs. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. WT\/10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 15 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. It will air on Amazon Prime Video.<\/p>\n

L.A. (23-18 at home) opened as 3.5-point favorites over Golden State (15-26 away).<\/p>\n

The winner of that contest will travel to either Phoenix or Portland to take on the victor of the N0.7 vs. No. 8 game, which the Suns<\/a> and Trail Blazers<\/a> will play on Tuesday in Arizona. That contest will also air on Prime Video and begin at 7 p.m. WT\/10 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n

Draymond Green to Return to Action Against Clippers in NBA Play-In Tournament\"Draymond<\/p>\n

The Clippers bested the Warriors by a score of 115-110 on Sunday, as Steph Curry<\/a> led the way with 24 points<\/a> in 29 minutes played. Los Angeles captured the season series against Golden State by a tally of 3-1.<\/p>\n

L.A. rested superstar Kawhi Leonard<\/a> in its 82nd game of the year, while the Dubs held out Draymond Green<\/a>. However, Green will be ready to play in his team\u2019s elimination game in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, per multiple reports.<\/p>\n

Given the structure of the play-in tournament and the Warriors\u2019 seeding at No. 10 overall in the West, Golden State has no chance of earning anything but the No. 8 seed once the playoffs begin. That will guarantee a matchup with the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> and reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Warriors Won\u2019t Have Jimmy Butler in Must-Win Showdown Against Clippers\"Jimmy<\/p>\n

One player the Warriors will be without for the entirety of their postseason run, however long it lasts, is Jimmy Butler<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Butler made a brief on-court cameo Sunday during Curry\u2019s warmup session, shooting a 3-point shot before hobbling back to the sideline with the rest of his teammates. Butler tore his ACL in mid-January and has been out ever since.<\/p>\n

His injury was just the first in a series of health issues that have plagued the Warriors all season long.<\/p>\n

\u201cMissed Jimmy with a season-ending injury for half of the season, lost [Moses] Moody<\/a> with a season-ender more recently, and missed Steph for a chunk of the year,\u201d TheWarriorsTalk X account summed up<\/a> the major injury issues Golden State has faced across the 2025-26 campaign. \u201cStill have a chance at landing in the playoffs, but they\u2019ll need to work for it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also in and out of the lineup has been big man Kristaps Porzingis<\/a>, whom Golden State acquired ahead of the NBA trade deadline in a deal with the Atlanta Hawks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Porzingis should be good to go on Wednesday after scoring 12 points and adding eight rebounds in 24 minutes of action Sunday.<\/p>\n
