At the top of the list is the stinging 2024 playoff defeat. The Nuggets lost game seven at home<\/a> and the series to the Minnesota Timberwolves. <\/p>\n Edwards had games of 43 and 44 points in the series. He’s averaging 30.3 points in three games this season and 31.5 points in four games last season against the Nuggets. He’s a perimeter scoring threat, shooting 39.9% from three, and the Nuggets struggle on perimeter defense at times.<\/p>\n Edwards and the Timberwolves also have a 17-15 record against the Nuggets over the last five years. Plus, the Timberwolves play the Nuggets physically, and the games can get a little chippy. They’re a tough rival, and they deserve the playful loud chaos that playoff basketball can deliver.<\/p>\n The rivalry has been brewing for nearly two years<\/p>\n It was nearly two years ago that the Nuggets were defeated in game seven of the second round of the playoffs. Nikola Jokic, when asked after the game whether or not the Timberwolves <\/a>were a rival now, said, “Yes.”<\/p>\n It was a physical series, and Christian Braun even said after game seven that he “didn’t like” the Timberwolves. But that’s what makes a rivalry a rivalry, and Ant-Man apparently hasn’t forgotten.<\/p>\n
