Veteran Phoenix Suns swingman Dillon Brooks was elated when the Golden State Warriors<\/a> defeated the LA Clippers in the play-in tournament on Wednesday. That\u2019s because Brooks was eager to face the Warriors in the final play-in game, with a playoff spot on the line.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it matters to some people like myself. I would like to see the Warriors,\u201d Brooks said after Thursday\u2019s practice when asked if he had a preference between facing the Warriors and the Clippers in the play-in tourney.<\/p>\n Why the Warriors?<\/p>\n \u201cSteph and Draymond,\u201d Brooks stressed. \u201cAnd Steve Kerr.\u201d<\/p>\n Dillon Brooks said he wanted the Warriors to beat the Clippers in the play-in game to set up the Suns\u2019 Friday opponent.<\/p>\n When asked why, he said: \u201cSteph and Draymond. I know we\u2019re going to be ready to play.\u201d<\/p>\n Warriors Prepared for Suns<\/p>\n Curry, who dropped 35 points with Golden State\u2019s season on the line on Wednesday, knows the Suns won\u2019t be an easy opponent in Friday\u2019s win-or-go-home game.<\/p>\n \u201cPhoenix is a high-powered offense. Dillon (Brooks) and Devin (Booker) have been playing great all year long,\u201d Curry said after the Warriors beat the Clippers.<\/p>\n \u201cThey have guys that can create off the dribble,\u201d Curry said of the Suns. \u201cWatched the game against Portland. It\u2019s going to be a great atmosphere. We\u2019re excited about it. I didn\u2019t get to watch Orlando-Philly, but the play-in is delivering this year. It\u2019s been good basketball to watch so hopefully we can add to that and get another win.\u201d<\/p>\n Head coach Steve Kerr revealed that he has designed a specific game plan to overcome the Suns, whom the Warriors beat 3-1 in the regular-season series.<\/p>\n \u201cOur game plan is all set,\u201d he said looking ahead to the Suns game.<\/p>\n \u201cWe just have to present it to the players (Thursday). Probably (Thursday) evening. We won\u2019t have a practice, but we\u2019ll go through the game plan. Then shootaround Friday to walk through some things.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ll be ready. One game to get in and we\u2019re excited about it. Phoenix has a hell of a team. They\u2019ve had a great year.
