{"id":712370,"date":"2026-04-17T10:54:20","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T10:54:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/712370\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T10:54:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T10:54:20","slug":"wisconsin-basketball-badgers-land-1st-transfer-in-the-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/712370\/","title":{"rendered":"Wisconsin Basketball: Badgers land 1st transfer in the portal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The Wisconsin Badgers have made their first move in the transfer portal, landing and signing George Washington guard Trey Autry, according to 247Sports\u2019s Matt Zenitz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Autry, a junior this past season, averaged 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists, while shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The Badgers had been searching for wings following the departures of Nick Boyd, John Blackwell, and Andrew Rohde. Autry fills one of those holes, being a capable three-point shooter as he converted at a high rate on 6.4 attempts a game.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Autry is the son of former Syracuse head coach Adrian Autry, and will bring quality defense to the Badgers.
