Former PBA star Jimmy Alapag announced his departure from the Sacramento Kings, having served as its development coach of the NBA team for the past three years.<\/p>\n
Alapag confirmed the news on his Instagram page on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy time here is up\u2026 Grateful for all the love shown to my family and me. What was once a dream to coach in the NBA became a reality in Sacramento,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cThankful for all the amazing experiences, the lessons, the growth and most importantly the time spent with some of the best people\/fans in the NBA,\u201d Alapag added.<\/p>\n
A six-time champion in the PBA, Alapag also served as an assistant coach for the Kings\u2019 G-League affiliate in Stockton from 2021 to 2023.\u00a0<\/p>\n
