Yet, the Milwaukee Bucks should already be well aware that he isn’t coming.

When speaking to the media recently, James highlighted Milwaukee and Memphis as two places he does not enjoy playing. Sure, living in a city full-time and having your own house versus playing there as a guest are two different animals, but James has made it clear he’s not a fan. Even if he is on the move this summer, Milwaukee likely won’t be a factor.

Milwaukee won’t be among James’ destinations

As James’ future remains up in the air, there are four teams floating as suitors. A return to the Lakers, a move across town to the Clippers, an in-state move to Golden State, or going back home to join the Cavaliers. All of those teams offer something that the Milwaukee Bucks simply do not have as part of their pitch to the superstar, especially with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future also up in the air.

Sticking with the Lakers can offer him an opportunity to stay put and finish out his career competing alongside Luka Doncic. Moving to the Clippers can help keep him in Los Angeles and remain close to his family. Joining Golden State would help him push for another ring alongside Stephen Curry and stay in the state. Going back to Cleveland would be a nostalgic return to where it all began.

It feels inevitable that James will land with one of those four teams. Other suitors like the Bucks will likely put in a call, but there may not be an answer on the other end.

Bucks will go star-hunting regardless this summer

Missing out on LeBron would not stop the Milwaukee Bucks’ quest to get better. With so much talk about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future with the franchise, the front office, as always, is bound to be on the hunt for upgrades this summer. James isn’t set to be the only big name available who could help this team put a bad 2025-26 season behind them.

Stars like Kawhi Leonard and Donovan Mitchell have been making the rounds in trade rumblings over the last few weeks, and there are bound to be many more when the season ends. Milwaukee has not been shy about going all in to keep Giannis happy, and this summer will be no different, especially as they get access to three tradeable first-round picks.

While others are chasing LeBron James’ signature, the Milwaukee Bucks will be looking elsewhere.

Stay tuned for more Milwaukee Bucks analysis.

Add us as a preferred source on GoogleFollow

A new article from The Athletic’s Dan Woike and Sam Amick (subscription required) has further put LeBron James’…

[3775
7,103,102,121,3871,6
0":"post-712693","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-milwaukee-bucks","8":"tag-basketball","9":"tag-bucks","10":"tag-milwaukee","11":"tag-milwaukee-bucks","12":"tag-milwaukeebucks","13":"tag-nba
["GET
