The Houston Rockets<\/a> will look to get off to a strong start in their first-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Houston, an unexpected \u2013 and critical \u2013 player has popped up on the team\u2019s injury report ahead of Game 1.<\/p>\n

Kevin Durant<\/a> ‘questionable’ for Game 1 vs. Lakers<\/p>\n

Star forward Kevin Durant is listed as \u201cquestionable\u201d on the official report<\/a> due to a right knee contusion. His official status will be determined sometime prior to tipoff.<\/p>\n

Durant apparently suffered the injury during practice this week, according to ESPN<\/a>. While unfortunate, the organization is optimistic that it’s nothing too serious.<\/p>\n

Knowing Durant, and given the magnitude of the game, it seems unlikely that the two-time champion wouldn’t be out on the floor with his teammates. But ultimately it depends on the severity of the issue.<\/p>\n

Durant was extremely durable for Houston during the regular season as he started in 78 of a possible 82 games. That’s pretty impressive considering his age (37) and all of the miles on his body.<\/p>\n
