After a thrilling win against the Los Angeles Clippers<\/a> Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors<\/a> couldn’t build on their momentum, falling to the Phoenix Suns<\/a> Friday. As a result, Golden State has been eliminated from playoff contention.<\/p>\n

Star guard Stephen Curry<\/a> was held to just 17 points on 3-for-10 shooting from three-point range.<\/p>\n

Following the game, the 38-year-old spoke about his plans beyond the 2025-26 season. When asked how many more years he may play in his career, Curry said<\/a>, “Multiple for sure.”<\/p>\n

That said, Curry has only one year remaining on his current deal, becoming a free agent after the 2026-27 season.<\/p>\n

While a contract extension may be on the horizon, it may depend on head coach Steve Kerr’s future with the team. Additionally, the Warriors are likely to wait for Draymond Green<\/a> to either opt-in or opt-out of his player option.<\/p>\n

Either way, the Golden State front office will have a difficult offseason to navigate.<\/p>\n
