On Saturday afternoon, the Denver Nuggets<\/a> will host the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> in Colorado for Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets finished the regular season as the third seed with a 54-28 record.<\/p>\n

In Saturday\u2019s game, Nikola Jokic<\/a> will likely make NBA<\/a> history, as he is just 22 points away from moving ahead of Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett (2,601) for 43rd on the all-time playoff scoring list<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the playoffs, Jokic has career averages of 27.4 points, 12.3 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 52.5% from the field and 38.8% from three-point range in 94 games.<\/p>\n

That said, they have been unable to return to the Western Conference finals since winning the 2023 title over the Miami Heat<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jokic finished the 2026 regular season with averages of 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 56.9% from the field and 38.0% from three-point range in 65 games.<\/p>\n
