St. John\u2019s hasn\u2019t landed a transfer yet, but it is now two-for-two in the international market.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Four days after landing EuroLeague point guard Quinn Ellis<\/a>, the Red Storm have secured a commitment from Montenegrin wing Djordije Jovanovic, a source told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He is expected to have two years of eligibility.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-7 Jovanovic, 22, has been playing for Buducnost VOLI this year in the EuroCup and Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA). In 16 games in the ABA, he\u2019s averaged 4.9 points and shooting 38 percent from 3-point range. <\/p>\n

The team includes former college stars Yogi Ferrell and Rasheed Sulaimon. Jovanovic also spent time in the G League previously, averaging 5.6 points and 2.4 rebounds with the Ontario Clippers in 2023-24.<\/p>\n

There was significant interest from a number of power-conference schools, the source said. St. John\u2019s had been recruiting Jovanovic for over a month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A European scout familiar with Jovanovic said he\u2019s a solid spot-up shooter and blue-collar player who can contribute as a role player in the Big East. He can defend multiple positions and is a court-spacer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

St. John\u2019s is expected to make noise in the transfer portal shortly as it continues to reshape its roster. It is firmly in the mix for the two top centers in the portal, Arizona State\u2019s Massamba Diop and Cincinnati\u2019s Moustapha Thiam, and hosted Robert Morris forward DeSean Goode, Kentucky forward Mo Dioubate and Toledo guard Leroy Blyden Jr. this past week. <\/p>\n

The Johnnies are expecting to have Diop on campus next week, along with several other prospects. <\/p>\n

They did lose Dylan Darling<\/a>, Joson Sanon, Sadiku Ibine Ayo, Lefteris Liotopoulos, Imran Suljanovic and Kelvin Odih to the transfer portal.
