Charlotte Hornets<\/a> guard Tre Mann is determined to return next season as a better player than he is today, and he blames himself for his team not making the playoffs. The Hornets were on the wrong side of NBA history<\/a> in a 121-90 blowout loss to the Orlando Magic.<\/p>\n

Heading into the offseason, Mann reflected on his personal struggles, which have inspired him to work hard<\/a> for the Hornets, he said, per The Charlotte Observer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanna be here. I wanna be better for the team, for sure,\u201d Mann said. \u201cJust not putting any expectations on myself or the team. I feel like if we come in with the same mindset that we came in last summer with, we\u2019ll be fine. If we stack days and build off of this season, we\u2019ll be in a good spot.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me personally, just working as hard as I can this summer. Understanding our identity, our offense, our defense, just having something to work for, and knowing what I\u2019ll be working for. Then, I\u2019ll let the rest take care of itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mann can\u2019t wait to get started in hopes of having a breakout season in 2025-26.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuper motivated. I go into every summer motivated, wanting to be better than I was the year before. This year was a tough year for me,\u201d Mann added. \u201cI felt like I let my teammates down. Feel like we could have been a better team if I was Tre Mann this year. So, I\u2019m going to have that fire in the back of my mind this whole summer, and I\u2019m going to work my butt off. I\u2019ll come in day 1 showing that I got better this summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hornets\u2019 Tre Mann finished the season averaging 5.5 points on 36% shooting in 12.6 minutes per game.<\/p>\n
