The Sacramento Kings\u2019 2025-26 season may have come to a disappointing end<\/a> as they missed the playoffs for the third consecutive season. But one of the big storylines coming out of the end of the Kings season is what does the future hold for Russell Westbrook<\/a>. Well if his latest social media message is any indication, the future Hall of Famer doesn\u2019t have plans to<\/a> step away any time soon.<\/p>\n

Russell Westbrook penned a new post on his blog, \u2018Word of Westbrook,\u2019 and the Kings guard hinted that an upcoming 19th season in the NBA is in store, and possibly more.<\/p>\n

\u201cYear 18. Still adding chapters. Forever grateful,\u201d Westbrook wrote in his post caption.<\/p>\n

While Westbrook didn\u2019t give any indication as to whether or not he would be open to re-signing with the Kings in the offseason, his blog post did heap heavy praise on the organization for their support during the year.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we know, the NBA season has now come to a close, and I\u2019m so grateful to the city of Sacramento for embracing me,\u201d Westbrook wrote. \u201cThe Kings organization has truly become a family to me \u2026 I could not have done it without the support of Coach Christie and the rest of our team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the lack of overall success from the Kings, it was a solid season for Westbrook<\/a>, his 18th in the NBA. He notched career milestones in rebounds, assists and steals, and moved up into the top-15 on the NBA\u2019s all-time scoring list, and top-five on the all-time assists list.<\/p>\n

He appeared in 64 games, including 58 starts, at just about 29 minutes per game. He averaged 15.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.3 steals with splits of 42.7 percent shooting from the field, 33.8 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 69.4 percent shooting from the free-throw line.<\/p>\n
