On Saturday, the Denver Nuggets<\/a> played the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> (at home) for Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.<\/p>\n

The Nuggets won by a score of 116-105.<\/p>\n

Jamal Murray<\/a> led the way with 30 points while shooting 16\/16 from the free throw line.<\/p>\n

Nuggets Quietly Made One Of The Best Signings\"\"<\/p>\n

Role players are especially important during the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Tim Hardaway<\/a> Jr. came off the bench to put up seven points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block while shooting 2\/6 from the field in 24 minutes of playing time.<\/p>\n

Hardaway Jr. has been a very important piece for the Nuggets.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old finished the regular season averaging 13.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 44.7% from the field and 40.7% from three-point range in 80 games.<\/p>\n

Being an efficient three-point shooter (and only missing two games) is big production for a contending team like Denver.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s worth noting that they signed Hardaway Jr. to only a minimum deal<\/a> last summer.<\/p>\n

Hardaway had a strong season for the Pistons<\/a>\u2018 resurgent 2024-25 campaign and now Denver officials finalize a deal with Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hardaway Jr\u2019s. Career<\/p>\n

Hardaway Jr. was the 24th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft out of Michigan.<\/p>\n

He has also spent time playing for the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks<\/a>, Atlanta Hawks<\/a>, Dallas Mavericks<\/a> and Detroit Pistons over 13 years.<\/p>\n

But at this point in his career, he\u2019s so polished and such a pro, and he has been an absolute FOLK HERO this season for the Nuggets, and their fans love him. During the 2019 season (with Dallas and New York), Hardaway Jr. averaged a career-high 18.1 points per contest.<\/p>\n

His career averages are 13.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest while shooting 41.9% from the field and 36.5% from three-point range in 893 games.<\/p>\n

Game 2 of the series will be on Monday night (in Denver).<\/p>\n
