All-Star point guard <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/halibty01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=dallashoopsjournal.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-20_bbr\">Tyrese Haliburton<\/a> didn\u2019t play this season because of the Achilles tear he suffered in Game 7 against the Thunder. The Pacers won only 19 games this season, but they will be better next season with Haliburton back in the fold. <\/p>\n<p>The Bucks and Antetokounmpo are widely expected to part ways this offseason. This trade proposal pairs Antetokounmpo with Haliburton and center <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/z\/zubaciv01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=dallashoopsjournal.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-20_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ivica Zubac<\/a>. That\u2019s a \u201cBig 3\u201d that could compete for the 2027 NBA championship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaliburton will be back next year and Zubac is already on board as the team\u2019s new starting center,\u201d Swartz wrote. \u201cAdding a two-time MVP in his prime to a core that also features <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/n\/nesmiaa01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=dallashoopsjournal.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-20_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Aaron Nesmith<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/t\/toppiob01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=dallashoopsjournal.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-20_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Obi Toppin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/m\/mccontj01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=dallashoopsjournal.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-20_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">T.J. McConnell<\/a>, Kuzma and potentially the No. 1 overall pick in the draft would make the Pacers the best team in the East.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Antetokounmpo has spent his entire NBA career with the Bucks. He\u2019s a two-time MVP, one-time Finals MVP, one-time Defensive Player of the Year and 10-time All-Star. Antetokounmpo guided Milwaukee to the 2021 championship against the Phoenix Suns in six games, but the Bucks have won just one playoff series since then and missed the playoffs this year.<\/p>\n<p>A future Hall of Famer, Antetokounmpo will make $58.5 million next season. He has a player option worth $62.8 million for the 2027-28 season. The Greek Freak is eligible to sign a four-year, $275 million extension with the Bucks on October 1. If he declines the extension, Antetokounmpo will be traded, Milwaukee co-owner\u00a0Wes Edens told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/48225217\/how-unique-milwaukee-bucks-ownership-structure-impacts-giannis-antetokounmpo-trade-wes-edens-jimmy-haslam-marc-lasry\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Antetokounmpo holds career averages of 24.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. It will be fascinating to see where he\u2019s playing next season.
