The Warriors ended their 2025-26 NBA season with some drama on the court.<\/p>\n
During Golden State\u2019s 111-96 loss<\/a> to the Phoenix Suns in the play-in tournament, Draymond Green<\/a> and Devin Booker both were ejected with 1:04 remaining in the game.<\/p>\n Green provided some clarity on exactly what happened during the altercation that also involved notable NBA referee Scott Foster.<\/p>\n \u201cDevin Booker told Scott Foster that I punched him in the stomach, which is a lie,\u201d Green said on the latest episode of \u201cThe Draymond Green Show.\u201d<\/a> \u201cNumber one, I punch with a closed fist. Number two, it\u2019s very obvious I was taking a foul. So, Scott Foster goes to review it, realizes I didn\u2019t punch him in the stomach, and he calls an away-from-the-play foul.<\/p>\n \u201cThe guy was passing the ball, so I\u2019m not sure how it\u2019s away from the play, but I think that\u2019s Scott Foster\u2019s way of [saying], \u2018There\u2019s not really much here for me to call a flagrant foul or a technical foul, but I feel I need to do something.\u2019 And so he calls it an away-from-the-play foul, which to me made absolutely no sense.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cI was standing on the sideline, and Book was shooting a free throw,\u201d Green stated. \u201cAnd I was saying, \u2018Yo Book, I punched you?\u2019 And I kept saying, \u2018So I punched you?\u2019 and he didn\u2019t want to answer.<\/p>\n \u201cI kept asking him, and then finally he was like, \u2018Man, I said I moved on, Dray. I ain\u2019t know. I said I moved on.\u2019 And I asked again, \u2018So I punched you?\u2019 and he got a little testy and started making some comments, so I made some comments back to him.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the incident, the Warriors forward made sure to set the record straight that there is no bad blood between him and Booker, who went to Grandville High School in Green\u2019s home state of Michigan as a freshman.<\/p>\n \u201cMake no mistake about it, Book, that\u2019s my young fella,\u201d Green shared. \u201cAlways has been. That relationship stems back to Book being in high school, and nothing [is] going to change that relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s my little bro. Scott Foster [was] putting himself in a place where he didn\u2019t necessarily belong. Kicking us out with one minute to go is pointless. The game is over. Our season is ending. They\u2019re moving on, and so I really just thought he did too much in that situation.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe thought I was calling him a choice word, which I was not calling him,\u201d Green added. \u201cI was calling Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green that, who was behind him talking, but we had our conversation, and we moved on.\u201d<\/p>\n With the win, the Suns have moved on<\/a> to the first round of the NBA playoffs, in which they currently are facing the Western Conference\u2019s No. 1 seed, the Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n On the other hand, the Warriors have a long offseason ahead of them, full of uncertainties<\/a> surrounding their coach and roster construction.<\/p>\n
