On Sunday night, the NBA on NBC<\/a> aired its first NBA<\/a> Playoff games in more than 20 years, offering a doubleheader of action that included the return of the San Antonio Spurs<\/a> to the playoff fold.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday night, April 21, right in the middle of an NBA Playoffs tripleheader<\/a>, NBC Sports will check in with the Spurs once again as they face the Portland Trail Blazers<\/a> for Game 2 of their Western Conference First Round matchup. Let’s take a closer look at what’s ahead.<\/p>\n

How to watch Portland Trail Blazers vs. San Antonio Spurs Game 2\"Deni<\/p>\n

The Blazers and the Spurs return to action at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 21. You’ll be able to catch the game live on NBC or stream it simultaneously on Peacock<\/a>. The tip-off follows the start of 76ers vs. Celtics at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock<\/a>, and will be followed by Rockets vs. Lakers at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NBC Sports’ Mike Tirico will have the play-by-play call for Game 2 of the Spurs vs. Blazers, alongside NBA legend and analyst Reggie Miller, with courtside reporting from Zora Stephenson.<\/p>\n

What to expect from Game 2 of the Blazers vs. Spurs NBA Playoffs series\"De'aaron<\/p>\n

The Spurs took Game 1 of this First Round series in decisive fashion, fending off an attempt at a fourth quarter comeback by the Blazers to take the win 111-98. As they have for much of the season, the Spurs’ offensive attack didn’t let up, but it was their defense that really shined against Deni Avdija and the Blazers’ physical attack. San Antonio won the rebound battle in the paint and held Portland to 10 of 38 on three-point shooting.<\/p>\n

Avdija put up 30 points and landed a double-double with 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough, particularly in the face of Victor Wembanyama<\/a>‘s stunning playoffs debut. His 35 points are now the most ever put up in a Playoff debut in the history of the Spurs franchise, breaking a record Tim Duncan held for nearly three decades. He looks every bit like the superstar San Antonio’s been waiting for, but it’s not over yet.<\/p>\n

As Avdija proved with his own standout performance Sunday night, Portland’s still got offensive juice, and they can be very physical. If they can find ways to open up better shooting from the arc and contain some of Wembanyama’s more dynamic tendencies (at one point in Game 1 he rebounded and then marched all the way down the court for a two-handed dunk with Avdija in pursuit the entire time), they’ve got a shot in this series, especially when it heads to Portland for Game 3.<\/p>\n
