Many viewed it as the farewell scene of what had been a dynastic run for the Warriors<\/a>. Kerr, who guided the team to four titles, is in the final year of his contract, and it is unlikely that he will return.<\/p>\n

While Curry’s future in Golden State is secure<\/a>, the same cannot be said for Green. He has been mentioned in trade rumors in recent years, and the Warriors could finally part ways with him this summer.<\/p>\n

On his podcast, the 36-year-old Green acknowledged the uncertainties ahead<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a player option coming up this year, this summer. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen. What does that look like? Is that an opt-in and finish the contract? Is that an opt-in and get traded? Is that an opt-out and sign a long-term deal? I don\u2019t know what that looks like,\u201d said the former Defensive Player of the Year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe obviously haven\u2019t had our conversations yet. I have exit interviews coming up this week, and none of that stuff will get done in an exit interview.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Green, who has expressed his desire to become NBA commissioner<\/a>, is a beloved figure in the Bay Area. Many believe that he is the heart and soul of the Warriors. He, however, has also had his fair share of controversies, including spats with Kerr and his teammates, because of his mercurial attitude.<\/p>\n

While Green is still a dependable player, especially on defense, his game has noticeably slipped over the years. He averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists this season, with Kerr giving him fewer minutes.<\/p>\n

Multiple teams will likely be interested in Green if he becomes available this offseason.<\/p>\n
