The\u00a0Washington Wizards<\/a> are tied with the Brooklyn Nets<\/a> and the\u00a0Indiana Pacers<\/a>\u00a0for the best odds to win the No. 1 pick in next month\u2019s draft lottery. They all have a 14% chance to get the top prize in this year\u2019s loaded draft class.<\/p>\n

The Wizards, who had the league-worst record at 17-65<\/a>, do not want a repeat of last year\u2019s draft lottery, wherein they also had a 14% chance to win the No. 1 pick, but the ping pong ball went to the Dallas Mavericks<\/a>, who only had a 1.8% chance.<\/p>\n

On \u201c7 PM in Brooklyn,\u201d popular rapper Wale, who grew up in Washington, talked about the Wizards\u2019 options if they get the first pick<\/a> in the NBA Draft in June. He said the team should get BYU forward AJ Dybantsa.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo ifs, ands, or buts. Respect to shorty, but I\u2019m scared of (Darryn) Peterson. I\u2019m sure there was an issue. There was something, but I just don\u2019t know, man. We\u2019ve been through enough in DC. It\u2019s AJ or bust,\u201d said Wale.<\/p>\n

There have been concerns about Peterson\u2019s health<\/a>, as he dealt with multiple injuries during his one year with the Jayhawks.<\/p>\n

When it was mentioned that Dybantsa could \u201cfit in perfectly\u201d with Anthony Davis<\/a> and Trae Young<\/a>, Wale immediately pumped the brakes.<\/p>\n

\u201cAD is not gonna suit up. I know Rich Paul,\u201d said the award-winning artist, referring to Davis\u2019 agent. \u201cAD ain\u2019t suiting up for no Wizards.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis has yet to suit up for the Wizards<\/a> since being traded to the team in February. He only played 20 games last season due to various injuries.<\/p>\n

The oft-injured star has been non-committal about staying long-term in Washington, although he implied that \u201cadding certain pieces\u201d<\/a> could change his mind.<\/p>\n

The Wizards could parade a starting five of Davis, Young, Dybantsa, Alex Sarr<\/a>, and Kyshawn George<\/a> next season.<\/p>\n
