Scott Foster has never been a well-loved referee in the NBA<\/a>, but on Saturday, he drew more criticism after an obvious mistake during the New York Knicks<\/a>\u2013Atlanta Hawks<\/a> game.<\/p>\n

The Knicks regained home-court advantage with a convincing Game 4 win. They controlled the game from the first quarter and evened the series at 2\u20132 against the sixth-seeded Hawks.<\/p>\n

Karl-Anthony Towns<\/a> recorded a 20-10-10 triple-double, while OG Anunoby<\/a> led all scorers with 22 points.<\/p>\n

The NBA did not release a Last Two Minute Report for the game, but fans still can\u2019t move on from one play involving an incorrect call by Foster.<\/p>\n

Anunoby was in the corner, trying to create offense, with Dyson Daniels<\/a> defending him and cutting off his path to the right. Daniels extended his leg, and his foot appeared to step out of bounds. Foster, however, ruled that it was Anunoby who stepped on the line, resulting in a turnover for the Knicks forward.<\/p>\n

Videos of the play are now making the rounds on X, and fans still can\u2019t believe how a seasoned referee could make such a mistake.<\/p>\n

The Bleacher Report IG post’s comment section are in consensus that Foster is wrong. Some are even tagging NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to look into the case. Others are also mentioning Phoenix Suns<\/a> star Devin Booker<\/a> who has a huge issue with the referees lately.<\/p>\n

“Bro if that\u2019s confusing to him then i think it\u2019s time to retire,” one user wrote.<\/p>\n

“How is Scott Foster still employed,” another one wrote.<\/p>\n

Point God Chris Paul<\/a> has an infamous beef with Foster<\/a> and people think he is vindicated with what happened here.<\/p>\n

“CP3 deserves at least one sanctioned fight with Scott Foster,” a comment reads.<\/p>\n

Even actor and Knicks fans Ben Stiller was forced to react.<\/p>\n

Foster was not listed among the referees<\/a> for any games during Sunday NBA. The league is not concerned with the Foster mistake and it is likely that he will be tapped for another game on Monday.<\/p>\n

The Knicks-Hawks series moves back to the Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
