The Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> just clinched their series against the Houston Rockets<\/a> in six games. Los Angeles<\/a> now faces a tough challenge against the defending Finals champion Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a>. In the series, LeBron James led all scorers.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cJames became the oldest player in NBA history to lead all players in a playoff series in total points scored, according to ESPN Research, pouring in 139 in a defensive slugfest between the two teams,\u201d ESPN\u2019s Dave McMenamin wrote.<\/p>\n

James was dominant throughout the series, especially in the first four games without Luka Don\u010di\u0107<\/a> and Austin Reaves<\/a>. He hinted beforehand that this would be a big postseason for him, expressing excitement ahead of the playoffs.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s going to be litty. It\u2019s going to be crazy. I\u2019m looking forward to it. I mean me personally like I don\u2019t know how many more postseasons I got left in my career. And we talked about this a while ago, like getting ready for the postseason, like that moment, like it doesn\u2019t matter what you did in the regular season. That sh*t is out the window now. Like it. Doesn\u2019t matter. Like it starts again. This is it. So, I\u2019m excited, man. I can\u2019t wait,\u201d James said.<\/a><\/p>\n

After the game, Lakers head coach JJ Redick<\/a> commented on how remarkable it is that James continues to perform at such a high level.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiterally every single guy was going bahhh, bahhh (goat noises). It speaks to his greatness. To me, he\u2019s had the greatest career of any NBA player. He\u2019s one of, if not the greatest of all time,\u201d Redick told the media.<\/a><\/p>\n

Redick understands that his star has had a storied career and continues to make a case as the greatest ever. What James is doing is special\u2014not only at his age, but across the entirety of his career.<\/p>\n

The GOAT debate will always exist, and Redick clearly believes James belongs at the top. The Lakers will have a difficult matchup against the Thunder, but James\u2019 experience could ultimately pay dividends for Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
