Devin Booker<\/a> needs a co-star with the Phoenix Suns<\/a>, as he’s shown that he can’t lead the team on a deep playoff run on his own.<\/p>\n

Perhaps they could land one in a blockbuster trade over the offseason.<\/p>\n

Suns predicted to trade for Zion Williamson<\/a> over the offseason<\/p>\n

The Suns were recently named as a potential landing spot for New Orleans Pelicans<\/a> star forward Zion Williamson in an offseason trade by Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There has been speculation that the Pelicans could look to move on from Williamson over the offseason and if they do, the Suns could capitalize.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the Suns are going to give Booker the offensive boost he needs, they\u2019ll have to come out ahead on a risk-reward wager, like wagering on their ability to keep Williamson healthy and return the two-time All-Star to his previous production levels,\u201d Buckley wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201c… Booker could hugely benefit from a reliable play-finisher, and Williamson has historically been a 20-plus-point scorer and around a 60-percent shooter. His downhill attacks would pull defenders with him, giving Booker the kind of breathing room he missed this season.\u201d<\/p>\n

The knock on Williamson has always been availability, or the lack thereof, but he’s coming off of a season in which he played in 62 games for the Pelicans, which is the second-highest total of his career.<\/p>\n

Williamson is still just 25 years old, so he should still have plenty of productive play ahead of him, assuming he can stay out on the floor.<\/p>\n

If the Suns are confident in their ability to keep Williamson healthy moving forward, trying to trade for him would probably be worth the risk for the franchise.<\/p>\n
