Jalen Brunson<\/a> was clear about his thoughts on leading the New York Knicks to their second straight Eastern Conference Finals<\/a> appearance after sweeping the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Brunson has enjoyed a remarkable stint with the Knicks so far since joining the franchise in 2022. They have made the playoffs every year with him on the roster, reaching their first East Finals since 2000 in 2025.<\/p>\n

The next step is for them to make their first NBA Finals since 1999. With the conference being wide open for a new representative, the Knicks are trying to make the most of that opportunity. They have now gotten themselves one round closer to that goal coming to fruition after eliminating the 76ers in Game 4. Brunson reflected on the achievement<\/a> after the game, stating the team\u2019s work ethic and their determination to see their journey through from beginning to end.<\/p>\n

New York was relentless from start to finish, taking a 43-24 lead after the first quarter. They outscored Philadelphia<\/a> 79-59 in the next two periods, making it impossible for the hosts to make a rally in the elimination game.<\/p>\n

Six players scored in double-digits for New York in the win, including Brunson. He finished with a stat line of 22 points, six assists and four rebounds. He shot 8-of-17 from the field, including 6-of-10 from beyond the arc. Miles McBride<\/a> led the team with 25 points and four rebounds, Karl-Anthony Towns<\/a> came next with 17 points and 10 assists, while Josh Hart<\/a> had 17 points and nine rebounds. Meanwhile, Mikal Bridges<\/a> and Landry Shamet<\/a> provided 12 points each.<\/p>\n

The Knicks will look forward to their next opponent in the Eastern Conference Finals, awaiting the winner between the Detroit Pistons<\/a> and the Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a>. The series will commence next week within mid-May.<\/p>\n
