The Golden State Warriors<\/a> have much to look forward to this offseason.<\/p>\n

The summer trade market will be just as, if not more, loaded than it was last year, giving the Dubs a chance to work their magic and enter championship contention in 2026-27.<\/p>\n

Heavy\u2019s Sean Deveney<\/a> believes that the Warriors are among the organizations that could snag the Los Angeles Clippers<\/a>\u2019 seven-time All-Star forward in a blockbuster trade to strengthen their title odds.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne tertiary result from the lottery, as the West exec noted, is that the Clippers could look at their situation and decide they should collect whatever young assets they can.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat will start with trying to move (Kawhi) Leonard, who will possibly have suitors in Miami<\/a> (Heat<\/a>), Golden State, New York (Knicks<\/a>), and elsewhere this summer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite recent injury concerns and being an aging superstar, Leonard continues to be the Clippers’ most productive contributor on both ends. The San Diego State product\u2019s unstoppable one-to-two dribble pull-up jump shot, seasoned low-post game, fluidity in transition, three-point shooting consistency, and antagonizing defense explain why his trade value is still high at age 34.<\/p>\n

Leonard averaged 27.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.9 steals with the Clippers this season, shooting 50.5% from the field and 38.7% from deep. If the Knicks go all-in for a game-changing asset this summer, it\u2019ll probably be Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a>, and the Heat may be reluctant to part ways with Tyler Herro<\/a> (who would have to be the featured piece in a potential deal), making the Warriors the most logical suitor for Leonard.<\/p>\n

Of course, it’ll still be up to the Dubs to extend an eye-popping trade offer to the Clippers for Leonard, but there\u2019s no doubt they\u2019re in the mix for the two-time NBA Finals MVP.<\/p>\n
