New York Knicks<\/a> star point guard Jalen Brunson<\/a> appeared to have an early injury scare during Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Finals series<\/a> against the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a> on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n

During a Knicks possession in the first half, Brunson tried to get away from Cavs star James Harden<\/a>\u2019s defense. After getting the ball off a pass from New York<\/a> big man Karl-Anthony Towns<\/a>, Brunson immediately grabbed his midsection. During the ensuing break, the broadcast showed the former Villanova Wildcats star grabbing his stomach and pointing to it.<\/p>\n

Fortunately for Brunson and the Knicks, it does not seem that he suffered anything serious from that concerning moment. He is still in the game, as New York looks to take the series opener against the dangerous Cavaliers.<\/p>\n

New York entered Game 1 of the East finals after a long rest, having waited over a week for the chance to get back on the court, thanks to its quick work against the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> in the second round.<\/p>\n

The Knicks eliminated Joel Embiid<\/a> and company after just four games in the previous series, with Brunson leading the way. Brunson, now in his fourth season with the Knicks, led New York in scoring in the first three games of the Sixers series, including his 33-point output in Game 4.Jalebn<\/p>\n

Through the first two rounds of the playoffs, the three-time NBA All-Star averaged 27.4 points<\/a> on 48.5 percent shooting from the field and 40.9 percent from behind the arc, 6.1 assists and 2.6 rebounds.<\/p>\n
