The Toronto<\/a> Raptures are coming up on the 2026 NBA<\/a> draft, and it\u2019s always an important time to start building for the future.<\/p>\n

In a mock out on Wednesday, May 20, Isaac Trotter of CBS Sports lays out<\/a> his picks after the Combine. \u201cBeyond the measurements and testing, the conversations behind the scenes provide an illuminating look at where some of the top NBA Draft prospects are trending,\u201d he states in the piece.<\/p>\n

For the Raptures, he has the team going with Iowa<\/a> point guard Bennett Stirtz<\/a> with their No. 19 selection. What makes this selection exciting is that Stirtz is a three-point go-getter who could help improve that area of their roster.<\/p>\n

\u201cToronto rated near the bottom of the league in 3-point rate, and Stirtz would help flip that a tad,\u201d he states in the piece of Stirtz. \u201cThe Iowa product is one of the top net-shredders in the draft.\u201d<\/p>\n

He adds: \u201cStirtz\u2019s moonballs can nearly touch the rafters before tickling the twine. Stirtz drained 92 treys at a 36% clip this past season on an exceptionally tough shot diet. Oh, and the dude can run a pick-and-roll in his sleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

My Analysis: Bennett Stirtz to Toronto<\/p>\n

Stirtz is a perfect fit for the Raptors, and he\u2019d offer another ball-handler who can also space the space the floor when Scottie Barnes<\/a> runs the offense. While it\u2019s true that he doesn\u2019t have elite burst, his shooting makes him a reliable, high-floor player.<\/p>\n
