The Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> are two wins away from returning to the NBA<\/a> Finals for the second straight season, thanks to seizing back-to-back wins in Games 2 and 3 of the Western Conference Finals.<\/p>\n

Game 3 occurred in San Antonio<\/a>, with the young Spurs<\/a> hungry to regain control of the series. However, OKC continues to show its experience as the reigning champions and controlled the game in the second half, earning a 122-108 win.<\/p>\n

Depth has also been a major factor for this Thunder squad, with the team\u2019s second-leading scorer, Jalen Williams<\/a>, sidelined for multiple games this postseason. He returned for the start of the WCF but then missed Game 3 due to hamstring soreness.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma City<\/a>\u2019s Ajay Mitchell<\/a> had been filling in and stepping up for the Thunder during Williams\u2019 absences. Still, Mitchell had an injury concern following OKC\u2019s Game 3 win.<\/p>\n

According to ESPN\u2019s NBA insider, Shams Charania<\/a>, the Thunder officially ruled out Mitchell for Game 4 in San Antonio due to a right calf strain.<\/p>\n

Mitchell started in seven of the Thunder\u2019s 11 postseason games. He was among OKC\u2019s starters in Game 3 of the WCF, but only played 17 minutes and scored two points.<\/p>\n

While he hasn\u2019t had any huge scoring performances against the Spurs, he had several big games against the Los Angeles Lakers in the previous playoff series, including a 28-point performance in their Game 4 win to close things out.<\/p>\n

In addition to Oklahoma City being without Mitchell, Williams is also listed as questionable, raising concerns for the visitors in Game 4.<\/p>\n

However, OKC weathered Williams\u2019 injury situation before and seems capable of dealing with this additional adversity. Their talented lineup has shown it can handle a young, less experienced Spurs team in the past two games.<\/p>\n

Even though San Antonio owns the regular-season series against OKC, they\u2019ve struggled in this postseason series. The Thunder have used aggressive play and physicality to disrupt Victor Wembanyama<\/a> in recent games, following his extraordinary performance in Game 1.<\/p>\n

With the possibility of Mitchell and Williams both being out for Game 4, the Thunder can still look to others to step up, including Alex Caruso<\/a> and Cason Wallace<\/a>, both of whom have shown they have what it takes.<\/p>\n

In their most recent win, Caruso had 15 points off the bench. Wallace scored 11 points to go with five rebounds and four assists.<\/p>\n

The Thunder and Spurs will go head-to-head in Game 4 at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday in San Antonio.<\/p>\n
