Kevin Durant<\/a> joined the Houston Rockets<\/a> via a blockbuster trade from the Phoenix Suns<\/a> last offseason in search of his next championship-contending team.<\/p>\n

After winning two titles with the Golden State Warriors<\/a>, he was hoping for a talented, younger Rockets roster featuring Alperen Sengun<\/a>, Jabari Smith Jr.<\/a>, and Amen Thompson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Houston reached the postseason, it was a difficult draw, with KD sidelined by injury and his squad watching as the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a>, led by a still-very-talented 41-year-old LeBron James<\/a>, contended.<\/p>\n

However, Durant\u2019s season was still strong overall, and the NBA<\/a> rewarded the Rockets\u2019 All-Star by naming him to the All-NBA Second Team.<\/p>\n

He joined the Boston Celtics<\/a>\u2019 Jaylen Brown<\/a>, Los Angeles Clippers<\/a>\u2019 Kawhi Leonard<\/a>, New York Knicks<\/a>\u2019 Jalen Brunson<\/a>, and Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a>\u2019 Donovan Mitchell<\/a> on that five-man squad.<\/p>\n

That marked Durant\u2019s sixth time making the All-NBA Second Team, adding to his six All-NBA First Team selections dating back to 2010, when he was much younger and playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n

All of those major honors in KD\u2019s career have also helped him achieve a unique piece of NBA history<\/a>. With his latest selection, he is the only player in the league\u2019s history to make an All-NBA Team with five different NBA teams.<\/p>\n

In addition to earning the honor this year in Houston, he was selected to the All-NBA Team while playing for the Seattle\/OKC franchise, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets<\/a>, and Phoenix Suns. It\u2019s a feat that even LeBron hasn\u2019t accomplished, and may never, as he\u2019s only played on four different teams.<\/p>\n

KD often receives criticism for participating in today\u2019s NBA trend of chasing championships by hopping from team to team. LeBron has received the same sort of criticism for his efforts to win rings throughout his legendary career, but both players have easily earned their spot among all-time greats.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also no easy feat to join a new team and become acclimated to a new style of play, game plan, and roster. Durant has seemingly been able to fit into most team lineups with ease and continue doing what he does best when he remains healthy and on the court.<\/p>\n

This past season, he averaged 26 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists in 78 games for the Rockets. With a 52-30 record, they earned the Western Conference\u2019s No. 5 seed and, despite failing to advance past the first round, still seem like a team capable of making noise next season.<\/p>\n
