The Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> fell to the visiting San Antonio Spurs<\/a> in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, surrendering a 111-103 final score at Paycom Center.<\/p>\n

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander<\/a> put forth his best effort of the series, recording a game-high 35 points. But the Thunder\u2019s other All-NBA<\/a> player, Chet Holmgren<\/a>, had an almost non-existent impact on the crucial closeout game.<\/p>\n

Holmgren finished the game with four points and four rebounds, taking just two shot attempts through his 33 minutes of action.<\/p>\n

Holmgren took the podium for his exit interview on Sunday, addressing his struggles against unanimous Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama<\/a> and the Spurs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like there were definitely opportunities to get more attempts up that I didn\u2019t in the moment,\u201d Holmgren said. \u201cThat\u2019s an area to improve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Holmgren was asked how he specifically plans to improve against the Spurs in future matchups.<\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely think they\u2019re different. I don\u2019t think there\u2019s another team that has their play style, their personnel, so they\u2019re unique in that way,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Holmgren averaged 17.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in the Thunder\u2019s first-round series sweep over the Phoenix Suns<\/a>. The All-NBA Third Team center then averaged 20 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in OKC\u2019s second-round sweep over the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a>.<\/p>\n
