Boston now holds a 1\u20130 series lead, but despite the dominant victory, Tatum made it clear in his post-game press conference that he is not underestimating Philadelphia<\/a>. He explained that the 76ers have a unique roster construction, calling them an extremely talented and well-coached team led by championship-winning coach Nick Nurse.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhilly has had guys in some time that they\u2019re not really a traditional set up,\u201d Tatum said<\/a>. \u201cThey\u2019re a really, really talented team. Great coaching staff, Nick Nurse is a championship coach. I played against him in the bubble when he was at his prime. So just understanding they\u2019re a really complete team. And obviously, they\u2019re missing Joe well. But they just got some really talented guys, some guys that play hard.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tatum finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. In the first half alone, he poured in 21 points, along with eight rebounds and four assists. With the performance, he became the youngest player in NBA history to reach 2,500 career playoff points and 1,000 playoff rebounds.<\/p>\n

Game 1 marked Tatum\u2019s first playoff appearance since rupturing his right Achilles tendon in May 2025. He spoke candidly about the emotional significance of the moment. in his post-game press conference.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an incredible feeling,\u201d Tatum said<\/a>. \u201cYou know, not too long ago, I wasn\u2019t even sure if I was going to be able to play this season, let alone get an opportunity to play in the playoffs.\u201d<\/p>\n
