The Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> have little time to dwell on their shortcomings. They fell in a Game 7 loss to the San Antonio Spurs<\/a>. But the NBA’s year-round business has every team focusing on one thing or the other. Right now, it’s about the upcoming draft cycle.<\/p>\n

For the Thunder, they continue to enjoy the best of both worlds \u2014 contending for a Larry O’Brien trophy and doing their homework for a lottery addition. They will enter the 2026 NBA draft with three draft picks \u2014 No. 12 via the LA Clippers<\/a>; No. 17 via the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a>; and No. 37 via the Dallas Mavericks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One prospect the Thunder have met with is Louisville\u2019s Isaac McKneely. His agency \u2014 One Motive Sports \u2014 announced it on social media. He played in four collegiate seasons from 2022-26. He played his first three years at Virginia before transferring to Louisville for his final year.<\/p>\n

McKneely averaged 10.9 points on 41.6% shooting, three rebounds and 1.4 assists in 35 games this past season. He shot 39.5% from 3 on 6.9 attempts. The 22-year-old is a 6-foot-4, 195-pound guard. Most NBA mock drafts have him going undrafted. Which means the Thunder can add him on some sorta Summer League deal and then go from there.<\/p>\n

The 2026 NBA draft will take place from June 23-24. The Thunder will look to add more young talent to their roster to keep their contending window open as long as possible around Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams.<\/p>\n
