Los Angeles Clippers<\/a> guard Darius Garland<\/a> threw subtle shade at the Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a> following the latter\u2019s embarrassing Eastern Conference Finals exit at the hands of the New York Knicks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During a recent episode of the Ball In The Family podcast, Garland reflected on his time with the Los Angeles Clippers so far after he moved there last February<\/a> when the Cleveland Cavaliers acquired James<\/a> Harden.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been great. Coming into a system where I can actually be me. Have the ball in my hand for the majority of the game, and actually have control and pace of the game,\u201d Garland said.<\/a> \u201cAnd just be like a second coach out there, literally. It was really good. It was fun while I was out there playing for sure. I got my joy back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was lowkey tough to watch. I didn\u2019t watch a lot, but when I did tune in, it was kind of tough, especially seeing how we were playing earlier in the year. It was a 180; something totally different on the court,\u201d he continued on the Cleveland Cavaliers\u2019 playoff run.<\/p>\n

In the same podcast episode, Darius Garland demanded accountability and transparency from the NBA referees, and the Los Angeles Clippers guard believes that they should also face postgame questions and fines like the players.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think refs need to like, they need to have a press conference after the game,\u201d Garland said.<\/a> \u201cCuz y\u2019all, refs miss a lot. Back to (Lonzo<\/a>), they are humans, but y\u2019all miss a lot. They should definitely get fined. No, it\u2019s like 10 of y\u2019all! Y\u2019all got the earpieces, the bluetooth now.\u201d<\/p>\n
